Our purpose-built daycare and kindergarten centre in Pakenham offers innovative early learning programs in a safe and nurturing environment. Our Pakenham childcare centre features a bike track, vegetable garden, ample climbing equipment, sandpit, and undercover areas for year-round access. Indoors, we have interactive whiteboards, an inside climbing fort, and open-plan spaces. We have a long-standing team of educators and teachers, with the longest being with us for over 20 years.
We are also lucky to have 4 large outdoor play spaces, giving the children lots of room to run and explore. We encourage you to consult with relevant early childhood professionals for guidance in making this decision. The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) helps eligible families access approved and registered child care providers, by partially subsidising the cost of daily fees. Programs include nature-based experiences, art activities, STEAM and a school readiness curriculum. Our ARTS curriculum empowers children to be creative and persistent using real-world tools, open-ended materials, and imaginative play. Through music, movement, and drama, children retell stories, collaborate, and express themselves. These experiences build strong language, literacy, and creative skills both in the classroom and the wider community. All families who are entitled to CCS will have this applied to their daily fee. Our daily fee is inclusive of all nappies, sunscreen, meals and educational programs.
We celebrate various cultural events, encouraging children to learn about the world around them. As part of the daily fee, we offer the Hey Dee Ho music program fortnightly and the Little Heroes sports program on alternating fortnights. Our team of passionate and experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Families and members of the community celebrated the official reopening of the kindergarten, located at 27 Main Street, on Thursday 4 April. The kindergarten – one of the shire’s oldest – was in desperate need of building upgrades before the refurbishment, which was funded by council and the state government. We are committed to the ongoing encouragement and development of all members of our community.

If your child becomes unwell while at the centre, teachers will make them comfortable and ask you to pick them up. If you’re not available, they’ll call one of the other contacts listed on your enrolment form. At Inspire ELJ, we believe in teaching children the importance of caring for the environment. Our sustainability program incorporates gardening, recycling, and eco-friendly practices to instill a sense of responsibility and environmental awareness from a young age.
